Maintain Power During Any Outage

With a professionally installed Briggs & Stratton standby generator, your home or business is automatically powered during a blackout. These generators are permanently connected to your natural gas or propane supply and paired with a properly configured transfer switch, allowing electricity to flow seamlessly to your home’s circuits the moment the utility power goes out. When power is restored, the generator shuts off automatically, and your home returns to normal without any intervention.

If you want a reliable home backup power solution, a standby generator installation is essential. At Texas Backup Power Solutions, serving Houston, Texas, and surrounding areas, our licensed electricians guide you in selecting the right Briggs & Stratton generator and professionally handle the installation, transfer switch setup, and testing to ensure your home stays powered safely and efficiently.

Stay protected during outages—call Texas Backup Power Solutions today to schedule your standby generator installation with our experienced Houston electricians!

Decades of Standby Generator Installation Experience

A reliable home standby generator installation starts with careful planning. Our licensed residential electricians assess your home’s power needs to recommend the correctly sized Briggs & Stratton generator—whether a smaller unit for essential circuits or a full-home generator capable of powering every system in your house. Texas Backup Power Solutions identifies the ideal location for your generator, taking into account noise, exhaust, clearance requirements, and local regulations throughout the Greater Houston Area, including north areas like The Woodlands and Spring, south areas like Pearland and League City, east areas like Baytown, and west areas such as Katy. Fuel connections—natural gas or propane—are securely installed by certified professionals to ensure safety and reliability.

The next step is electrical integration, handled by our specialized electricians. This includes installing the automatic transfer switch, which disconnects your home from the grid during outages and safely connects it to the standby generator. Properly gauged wiring runs from the generator to the transfer switch and then to your main electrical panel. Finally, thorough testing guarantees the system activates automatically during power interruptions, keeping your home safe, comfortable, and fully powered.

Common Electrical Services:

Electrical Safety Inspections You Can Rely On

Before any standby generator installation, the licensed electricians at Texas Backup Power Solutions perform a thorough inspection of your home’s electrical panel system to ensure it is safe, up to code, and capable of supporting backup power. This inspection is essential because not all electrical panels are prepared for a whole-home generator, and issues such as overloaded breakers, improper grounding, outdated equipment, or previous DIY modifications can create serious safety hazards.

By assessing panel capacity, breaker layout, and overall condition in advance, our licensed electricians can identify potential issues early and recommend the right solution—whether that’s a panel upgrade, breaker replacement, or electrical layout adjustment. This proactive approach helps protect your home, your generator, and utility workers, while ensuring your standby generator operates safely and reliably when power outages occur.

Schedule your Houston standby generator installation with Texas Backup Power Solutions today to keep your home powered safely!

Expert Guidance From Installation To Operation

After completing the inspection and installing your standby generator, an expert from Texas Backup Power Solutions will review the results of the inspection and explain any recommendations for your electrical panel or home wiring.

Once your standby generator is installed, we don’t just leave—you’ll receive hands-on guidance from our licensed electrician on how to safely operate and maintain your generator, including how the automatic transfer switch works during outages. Our goal is to ensure you feel confident, informed, and fully prepared to rely on your backup power system whenever you need it.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Ron is fantastic. If I ever needed electrical work again, without hesitation, Ron is who I would call. He's super professional as others have mentioned. Does exactly what he says he can do. Doesn't try to upsell you or give you more than you need. He installed an interlock kit for a portable generator + soft starts for the AC + a 50A outlet.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I needed to installed and interlock switch and I approached Ron based on the reviews. I was not wrong, he sent me a quote explaining the job and answered a couple of questions before I accepted.
Once in my house, he completed the job in about 4 hrs and at the end we went through the process of getting the generator up and running to confirm that everything was working well.
I got the service that I needed and he provided the service promised in a very courteous way. He even came during freezing temperatures and complete the installation with no complains.

Thank you Ron!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My neighbor referred us to this company. It is so hard to find anyone who calls you back, gives you an quote and then shows up to do the work. Ron did...he even called to check as to why I had not opened the email with the quote. Assuming perhaps I had found someone else who wasn't going to show up I didn't follow up but he did. The quote email had went to my spam folder. He gave a very fair price, set the date and showed up on time. We couldn't be more pleased with the work. We are now ready for a power outage minus 2000 feet of extension cords.Highly recommend!
